Tony Stewart Wins NMPA Richard Petty Driver Of The Year Award

Tony Stewart has won the National Motorsports Press Association’s top annual honor for a driver.

↵The NMPA awarded Stewart with the Richard Petty Driver of the Year award at the organization’s annual convention in Concord, N.C. on Sunday afternoon. This was Stewart’s third DOY award – he also won it in his other two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship seasons.

↵Stewart was unable to accept the award in person due to a scheduling conflict, but thanked the NMPA voters in a statement.
