NASCAR: Trevor Bayne Returns To Wood Brothers Racing No. 21 Car For 2012

With all the driver movement and Silly Season action during this NASCAR offseason, one had to wonder if anyone would stay put if given a chance to leave.

↵At least one has: Trevor Bayne will drive the No. 21 car for Wood Brothers Racing next season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the team announced Thursday.

↵Bayne won the Daytona 500 with the Wood Brothers in 2011, but his plans for 2012 had been unclear. It’s not certain how many races Bayne will run, but it’ll probably be similar to the 18 events the team entered last year.

↵Nationwide Series plans for Bayne are yet to be determined.
