The Gluckometer returns this week for the third update of the season – but the first-ever edition that includes Danica Patrick.
At Darlington, Danica Patrick Receives Warm (And Loud) Welcome From NASCAR Fans
Since the Daytona 500 driver introductions were held in the rain and few people were in the stands at the time, I wasn’t able to get a good reading in Patrick’s other Sprint Cup Series start.
But with ideal conditions at Darlington – no wind, loud fans and no pyrotechnics to mess up the decibel meter – I got some very accurate numbers.
How did Danica stack up against the rest of the Cup drivers? Here are the Gluckometer results from Darlington (and here’s the background on this):

| 1 | Dale Earnhardt Jr. | 90.0 | Cheers | No surprise here | ||
| 2 | Kyle Busch | 88.8 | Boos | Poor Mama Busch | ||
| 3 | Tony Stewart | 88.6 | Cheers | Fans of sarcasm? | ||
| 4 | Danica Patrick | 88.4 | Mostly cheers | Seeing immediate support | ||
| 5 | Jimmie Johnson | 88.1 | Mix | But they cheered afterward | ||
| 6 | Jeff Gordon | 87.7 | Mostly cheers | Still a few haters from the '90s | ||
| 7 | Mark Martin | 87.0 | Cheers | Love for the veteran | ||
