NASCAR Charlotte 2013 schedule: Chase heats up in North Carolina

With The Chase well under way, everything continues getting more interesting in Charlotte.

On Saturday, the NASCAR Sprint Cup season continues with an important race at Charlotte Motor Speedway with the Bank of America 500.

The first action at the track will come on Thursday, with practice going from 3:30-5 p.m. ET. Later in the evening, there will be qualifying at 7:10 p.m. ET before the garage closes two hours later.

On Friday, there will be a pair of practices on the asphalt going from 3-3:55 p.m. and 5:50-6:50 p.m. The garage stays open until 9 p.m., when everything is shut down for the day.

Come Saturday, the garage reopens at 1:30 p.m. The race then starts at 7:30 p.m., bringing all the drivers closer to their ultimate destiny this year. The Bank of America 500 is the fifth of 10 races in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

As for the Nationwide Series race, the Dollar General 300, it will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
