The Sprint Cup Series 2013 waves the green flag Saturday night, and the whole following week, with the Sprint Unlimited, an exhibition featuring the drivers who won pole positions during 2012.
NASCAR Sprint Unlimited 2013: Drivers, lineup and starting grid
The kickoff race of the Sprint Cup season is Saturday night, but it will be a warmup for next week’s Daytona 500.

Missing from the field are Brad Keselowski, 2012 Sprint Cup champion, and Clint Bowyer, who took Keselowski down to the wire for that trophy. Some of the biggest names in the sport will be there, however, starting with Jimmie Johnson, whose run of five straight Sprint Cups was ended last year.
Joining Johnson will be Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, who’s won this event three times, Mark Martin, who’s entered it 24 times (back when it was known as the Budweiser Shootout) but won it just once, Aric Almirola, Marcos Ambrose, Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth, Joey Logano, Juan Pablo Montoya, Ken Schrader and Martin Truex Jr.
