NASCAR Nationwide Series at Las Vegas lineup: Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Brad Keselowski among drivers to compete

Five Sprint Cup Series drivers are participating Saturday afternoon in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Las Vegas.

USA TODAY Sports

Sam Hornish, Jr. and Justin Allgaier are on top of the NASCAR Nationwide Series points standings after two races, and both are competing Saturday afternoon at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the 17th Annual Sam’s Town 300 to try and create some distance between each other and the pack.

Joining Hornish and Allgaier will be five Sprint Cup Series drivers: Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Ty Dillon and J.J. Yeley. They’re all hoping for a tune-up before Sunday’s Kobalt Tools 400.

Brian Vickers won the pole position and Trevor Bayne will join him in the first row. Hornish is in seventh position in the fourth row, while Allgaier is right behind him in 10th position. Brian Scott, who is in third place in the Nationwide Series standings and six points behind Hornish and Allgaier, is in third position. Elliott Sadler, Joe Nemechek, Travis Pastrana and Reed Sorenson are also among those competing in the race.
