NASCAR returns to Sonoma, Calif., for the 25th race at one of the Sprint Cup’s premier road courses. In recent years, this unpredictable event has shown it can turn the leaderboard on its head, but Jimmie Johnson will look to retain his grip on the top of the standings. Here is your full schedule of events this weekend.
NASCAR Sonoma 2013 schedule: Can Jimmie Johnson keep the lead in Sonoma?
It’s been three years since Johnson last won the road race in Sonoma, and the unpredictable course could open the door for Carl Edwards.

Johnson holds a 31-point lead over Carl Edwards, but that could change this weekend. He last won at Sonoma in 2010, and has two top-ten finishes in each of the last two years. Meanwhile, Edwards finished third last year — but doesn’t have a great history on the track, totaling only three top-ten results in eight races.
Each of the last eight years has seen a different winner at Sonoma, which should lead to to some excellent racing on Sunday. This is your full weekend schedule. All times are Eastern:
