NASCAR Kentucky 2013 schedule: Can Jimmie Johnson hold on in Kentucky?

Is this the race Carl Edwards can take control of the Sprint Cup?

Jimmie Johnson’s tenuous hold on the lead is getting thinner, and Carl Edwards is primed to take advantage. This week’s Quaker State 400 is NASCAR’s return to an oval after last week’s road race.

Edwards hasn’t made huge leaps over the last month, but has slowly whittled away at Johnson’s lead. His top-three finish last week escalated him to 548 points -- just 25 behind Johnson. This weekend’s race could see spotty weather, which could make Saturday’s race at Kentucky Speedway one of the season’s most intriguing.
