SB Nation goes behind-the-scenes with Jeff Burton at Daytona

Thanks to the good people at Kwikset, I’m spending the weekend with Richard Childress Racing and Jeff Burton in Daytona, providing one-of-a-kind, behind-the-scenes coverage leading up to, and including, the Coke Zero 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race .

USA TODAY Sports

We’re shaking things up a little bit, this weekend at SB Nation NASCAR.

I will be attending the Coke Zero 400 Sprint Cup Series event at Daytona International Speedway. And while this isn’t my first time covering the July Daytona race, this will be my most interesting experience yet as I will be serving as the brand ambassador for Kwikset as they power Jeff Burton’s attempt to win his second-career race at the “World Center of Racing.

So what does that entail exactly?

It means that I will be providing a behind-the-scenes look at everything Jeff Burton, crew chief Luke Lambert and Richard Childress Racing does in advance of one of the most prestigious and unpredictable races on the NASCAR schedule.

Through our various social media assets (and right here at SB Nation NASCAR), I will be giving readers an all-access tour that even most media members are not privy to during a race weekend.

The team has allowed us access to Jeff’s hospitality tour, secret team meetings and best of all -- a seat in the pit box during Saturday night’s main event.

So where can you find all of this content, including news, pictures and videos? Give us a follow at some of the links below:

Beginning on Thursday (July 4), I will be reporting live from Daytona Beach with interviews, VIP access to closed-door meetings and of course, the race itself on Saturday night.

This is all in advance of the ongoing “I Heart the Mayor” campaign with Jeff Burton that will eventually provide fans a chance to win a VIP experience with Burton and the Richard Childress Racing team at the Charlotte Chase for the Championship race in October.

Fans can tweet about Burton through www.iHeartTheMayor.com with the hashtag #TweetToWin. The more fans tweet from the site, the more sweepstakes entries they receive. Additional information about the sweepstakes can be found here and I encourage you to enter.

Lastly, my question for you is, what would you like to know from Daytona? What would you ask Jeff Burton and Richard Childress Racing? What sort of behind-the-scenes information would you like access to? Let me know in the comments section and I’ll try to make it happen.

See you in Daytona!
