NASCAR Darlington 2014: Start time, TV schedule for Bojangles’ Southern 500

It will be a busy night at Darlington Raceway with the green flag scheduled to wave around 6:45 p.m. ET.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will continue on Saturday evening at Darlington Raceway with the Bojangles’ Southern 500. Jeff Gordon sits on the top of the Sprint Cup standings but is still looking for his first win of the season.

The race is scheduled to begin around 6:45 p.m. ET. FOX will televise the action live, with TV coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. Mike Joy, Darrell Waltrip and Larry McReynolds will be in the booth while Steve Byrnes, Matt Yocum and Krista Voda report from the pit. FOX Sports 1’s pre-race show will begin at 5 p.m.

Kevin Harvick sits in the pole position after a strong qualifying run. Joey Logano will start in the No. 2 spot. Aric Almirola qualified for third. Marcos Ambros will start fourth, just ahead of Brad Keselowski in the fifth spot. Gordon will look to get that first win of the season from the ninth spot once the green flag waves.

Last year, Matt Kenseth and the No. 20 car crossed the finish line first after taking a late lead. Denny Hamlin came in second place, followed by Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Kevin Harvick.
