2014 NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 Weather forecast

There’s just a small chance of an afternoon storm or two but will that threat of wet weather carry over into the weekend?

The only real weather concern we have this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway is the threat of scattered storms later this afternoon. A weak boundary will drop in across the region today. This along with the hot and humid conditions this afternoon will give the atmosphere enough juice to get a storm or two firing. These storms could have an impact on Nationwide practice and Sprint Cup qualifying later today and tonight.

There is a chance of isolated showers and storms on Friday but there are no scheduled track activities at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

By the weekend for the Nationwide race and the Coca-Cola 600 the forecast is a little cooler and much drier. Highs each day are in the low 80s with sunny to mostly sunny skies.
