Most of the week the weather forecast for Talladega Superspeedway had been mostly dry but then enters the wild card, Hurricane Patricia. Rain was already a threat west of Alabama through out Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana but now that Hurricane Patricia made landfall the moisture from this system could enhance the system to the west of Talladega. This situation could bring rain showers into Alabama a few hours earlier than what was once originally thought.
Could rain sneak into the NASCAR Talladega weekend weather forecast?
Could moisture from Hurricane Patricia increase the threat of rain for the NASCAR weekend at Talladega?

I think Saturday is mostly dry with sunshine and clouds. There is a very small chance of an isolated shower or two but for the most part the threat of rain is very minimal. I don’t see much of an issue for any of Saturday’s racing events.
Sunday on the other hand has become a more difficult forecast. While I am still leaning towards mostly dry through the afternoon, a shower can’t be ruled out and the trend has been to increase the threat of rain as we get closer to Sunday and Sunday afternoon. The odds of racing Sunday are around 75 percent and it is possible this could lower if more data suggests that rain arrives earlier that what was previously thought.
