2015 NASCAR Charlotte Motor Speedway Weather forecast: Some rain may fall

Rain is in the forecast this weekend for Charlotte Motor Speedway but when will it rain and could it affect any racing?

While not as challenging as last week in Dover, the weather forecast for Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend has had its ups and downs. A cold front will push across the area late Friday into Saturday. Originally, it appeared this front might stall Saturday keeping rain showers and possible thunderstorms around through the day and into Saturday evening.

It appears now that the cold front will move along and most of the rain will be from late evening on Friday, through the overnight and into Saturday morning. There is a chance of a few lingering showers into Saturday afternoon and maybe evening but the odds of rain become less as the day wears on.

Odds of racing Saturday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway are 90 percent or higher, there is a small possibility of a delay if rain showers linger into the evening but right now I feel pretty good that we will race Saturday night.
