2015 Daytona 500 Weather forecast: Threat of rain is disappearing

When NASCAR comes to Daytona everyone starts to worry about rain. For the 2015 Daytona 500, looks like people have one less thing to worry about.

Temperatures will be warming up for Saturday and Sunday and the threat of rain is practically disappearing for the Daytona 500 on Sunday. If we do see any rain, it will be isolated showers and will take place Saturday afternoon and possibly Saturday evening. All the while, keeping Sunday for the “Great American Race” sunny, dry and warm.

Although there’s a small chance of an isolated shower Saturday I wouldn’t worry about it impacting the Xfinity Series race later in the afternoon. The threat is small and if there is a shower, any delay would be minimal. At this point, I expect the day to be completely dry.

Sunday could see some morning fog but it should lift in time for the start of the Daytona 500. I anticipate partly to mostly sunny skies, warm afternoon temperatures, light winds and no threat of rain Sunday afternoon.
