NASCAR’s journey through the Desert Southwest has been nice and warm. From Las Vegas to Phoenix, the weather the last two weekends has been down right summer-like. The temperatures in Phoenix will be the warmest NASCAR has had to deal with so far this season.
NASCAR at Phoenix 2014 race day weather: Hot and dry
Week 2 of NASCAR’s swing across the western United States and another race day where rain will not be an issue. While precipitation won’t be a problem, hot temperatures could make for a slick track.

SUNDAY’S WEATHER FORECAST:
Lots of sunshine and hot temperatures are in the forecast for Phoenix International Raceway as it hosts the CampingWorld.com 500 Sprint Cup race.
While precipitation won’t be a problem for the Sprint Cup drivers, the hot, slick track might make for some interesting racing. It should be fun to watch which drivers like the conditions and the others who have a hard time. Winds shouldn’t be much of an issue but at times could get near 10 mph out of the east. Air temperature by the end off the race will reach the upper 80s.
