2015 NASCAR at Martinsville Speedway weather forecast: Not as nice as the West Coast

NASCAR is back from its West Coast swing, but unfortunately it couldn’t bring the nice warm weather now that they’re back east. NASCAR returns to the East Coast with similar weather that it left, chilly but the overall weekend looks dry.

The only wet weather we’re concerned about is Friday. A cold front moved through overnight but will stall just to the east during the day Friday. A system along the cold front will keep rain showers around for at least the first half of the day. It’s possible that the Camping World Truck Series practice and Spring Cup practices during the first part of the day could be rained out. But once we get between noon and 3 p.m. the shower threat diminishes into the afternoon and evening.

The rest of the weekend dries out, with more sunshine but there will be chilly temperatures. This weekend at Martinsville Speedway NASCAR won’t have 70 or 80 degrees, they will be around 50 degrees all three days.
