2015 NASCAR weather at Pocono Raceway: Sunshine goes for the sweep

It’s very possible that both race weekends at Pocono Race will be dry in 2015. Will a lone shower ruin Mother Nature’s dry weather streak?

I’ve been forecasting and following NASCAR weather since 2008 and in that time I can’t recall where Pocono Raceway was nearly rain free both race weekends. That may be what we see in 2015, as NASCAR makes its return trip to the Tricky Triangle.

The weather forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday for Pocono Raceway is mostly dry. The only thing that will need to be watched is a weak system moving through the region on Saturday. Depending on how much moisture is with it, there could be an isolated shower or storm towards the afternoon. Outside of Saturday, both Friday and Sunday look mostly sunny and dry.
