Danica Patrick is staying with Stewart-Haas Racing long-term and will see Nature’s Bakery act as her primary sponsor beginning in 2016.

The NASCAR team co-owned by Tony Stewart signed Patrick to a contract extension, SHR announced Tuesday. Stewart would not disclose the terms of Patrick’s deal or how long Nature’s Bakery would sponsor the No. 10 car, stating only that both contracts were “multi-year.”

Patrick joined SHR full-time in 2013 and her original contract expired at the end of this season. She said there were no discussions with other organizations, as her preference was to remain with SHR, which also fields cars for Stewart, Kurt Busch and defending Sprint Cup champion Kevin Harvick.

“Being able to re-sign with Tony and Stewart-Haas is very important to me,” Patrick said. “I really, really do feel like family here and feel like there is nowhere else I want to be.”

Nature’s Bakery replaces GoDaddy, which announced in April it would cease sponsoring Patrick’s team at the conclusion of the 2015 season. GoDaddy has been a prominent backer of Patrick since 2007 -- and primary sponsor since 2010 -- when she competed in the IndyCar Series and transitioned with her to NASCAR in 2010.

However, GoDaddy decided to refocus its marketing efforts on small businesses and companies with a global reach. Patrick will remain the spokeswoman for the Internet domain registrar and web hosting company.

A nutritional snack company, Nature’s Bakery promotes its products towards those with “active lifestyles” and “health-conscious living,” a demographic that Patrick certainly fits as she frequently shares photos of herself doing yoga and other outdoor activities on social media.

Nature’s Bakery will serve as the primary sponsor in 28 of the 36 Sprint Cup races.

“Our brands align so perfectly, it’s kind of amazing,” Patrick said. “I think this journey is going to be a lot of fun. I think there’ll be a lot of exciting things we can do in the future.”
