Drivers utilizing commemorative paint schemes in NASCAR’s All-Star Race is a common practice, but Kyle Busch is going in a different direction for Saturday’s non-points event at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Kyle Busch gets new car number for All-Star Race
The No. 18 car will switch to No. 75 for one race only.

Busch’s Toyota will largely maintain its familiar yellow livery, but the biggest change is the number the defending Sprint Cup champion will race. Gone is his customary No. 18, the numeral Busch has used since joining Joe Gibbs Racing in 2008, and in its place is No. 75.

The change is to honor Busch’s longtime sponsor, M&M’s, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Mars, Inc. begin manufacturing the popular candy in 1941.
Busch will use No. 75 just for the All-Star Race and revert back to No. 18 for the following week’s Coca-Cola 600, NASCAR’s longest event.
Charlotte is one of the few tracks where Busch remains winless, as he is 0-for-24 in his Sprint Cup career at the mile-and-a-half oval. Pocono Raceway is the only other venue where he has yet to reach Victory Lane.
