The NASCAR race originally slated to run Sunday afternoon has been rescheduled for Monday due to persistent rain and heavy fog at Pocono Raceway.
NASCAR forced to reschedule due to rain, moves Axalta 400 at Pocono to Monday

The Axalta 400 will now take the green flag at noon ET Monday, weather permitting. NASCAR’s 14th event of the season will be broadcasted by Fox Sports 1.
Inclement weather has been an issue throughout the weekend at Pocono. Just 10 minutes into practice on Friday, rain halted the proceedings and eventually forced NASCAR to cancel the session outright. On Saturday, the Xfinity Series race was called after 54 of 100 laps were completed, with Kyle Larson declared the winner.
Pocono marks the first rescheduling of a Sprint Cup Series race this season. Monday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 70s, according to meteorologist and SB Nation contributor Brian Neudorff.
Team Penske teammates Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano will lead the 40-driver field on Monday. Keselowski won the pole in qualifying Friday, taking the No. 1 position away from Logano in the final seconds with a 181.726 mph lap.
Defending Axalta 400 winner Martin Truex Jr., who also won a week ago at Charlotte Motor Speedway, qualified 17th.
