Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. had the dominant cars for much of the afternoon, but Matt Kenseth was better when it mattered winning Sunday’s NASCAR race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Matt Kenseth wins his second race of the season. Tony Stewart finishes second.


Kenseth passed Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin with 30 laps remaining, then withstood several restarts to score his second victory of 2016 and second straight on the one-mile track.
Tony Stewart finished second, followed by Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick and Greg Biffle. Jamie McMurray and Ryan Newman were sixth and seventh, respectively.
Busch, who led a race-high 133 laps, finished eighth. Hamlin and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. rounded out the top 10.
Truex led 123 laps and was well positioned to win until a broken gear shifter hindered him over the final laps. He finished 16th.
Alex Bowman had promising day filling in for Dale Earnhardt Jr., who is out indefinitely with concussion-like symptoms. Bowman was running in the top 10, but a cut tire sent him crashing into the Turn 1 wall with 29 laps left. He finished 26th.
