There is guaranteed to be fighting at NASCAR’s All-Star Race, but it won’t be drivers exchanging blows May 20 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Bellator to hold MMA fights at NASCAR All-Star Race
The four-fight card will happen before the May 20 Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Bellator will hold four MMA fights during the afternoon leading into that evening’s non-points race. Representing four different weight classes, the bouts will feature regional fighters, will be free to watch for those attending the race, and take place at the Monster Energy display located in the fan zone.
MMA fights being staged at a NASCAR track on a race weekend is due to the mutual association NASCAR and Bellator share with Monster. The energy drink company is in its first year as entitlement sponsor of the NASCAR Cup Series, and has tapped into its other marketing initiatives to promote NASCAR, including bringing spokesman Rob Gronkowski to the season-opening Daytona 500 and having a pre-race motorcycle stunt show at various tracks.
Future MMA fights are being planned for NASCAR races later this season.
