It always feels like a long off season as we prepare for Speed Week at Daytona International Speedway and the Daytona 500. Of course starting the season in Florida can be a gamble when it comes to the weather conditions.
2018 Daytona 500 Qualifying and Clash weather forecast
Other than a threat of Florida showers - the start to the 2018 NASCAR season looks relatively dry.

Sunday will feature pole qualifying for the 2018 Daytona 500 and the Advance Auto Parts Clash at Daytona. Overall the weather for Sunday is dry. Light winds out of the south between 5 to 10 mph. Some clouds with the sunshine. The only concern is a chance of a late day passing shower. I’d say odds of racing are easily 75 to 80%.
What about next weekend’s Daytona 500? Usually I don’t like to post a forecast this far in advance as accuracy in all honesty is low. But right now not seeing anything that has me concerned but a lot can and usually changes. At present time the forecast for next week’s Daytona 500 looks a little like this weekend.
