Tyler Reddick won the closest finish in NASCAR national touring series history, edging Elliott Sadler in a photo finish featuring a 0.000 margin of victory to win the Xfinity Series race Saturday at Daytona International Speedway.

Tyler Reddick’s margin of victory over Elliott Sadler was 0.000.
The finish was set up by a series of cautions that pushed the PowerShares QQQ 300 into five overtimes. On the final restart, Reddick nosed ahead, but Sadler pulled to the inside of his JR Motorsports teammate on the backstretch. As the two raced through Turns 3 and 4 toward the start-finish line, they made contact that propelled Reddick ahead by the slimmest of margins.
NASCAR’s national touring series encompass the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Truck Series. Its previous closest finish — 0.001 seconds — occurred in 1995 during a Truck Series race at Colorado National Speedway.
Reddick’s win in the Xfinity season opener was his second career win in the series and comes in his first start for JRM, co-owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr.
“I just saw the finish, it’s insane,” Reddick said. “It’s not much -- it was just enough.”
