NASCAR at Auto Club Speedway: Will rain be an issue at all this weekend?

Chance off showers for NASCAR at Fontana, possible but may not be that big of an issue

The NASCAR Goes West tour finishes up this weekend in Fontana, California at Auto Club Speedway. Overall we’re looking at a relatively dry weekend in Southern California, but there are times when rain could fall. But does it rain during on track activities?

There’s a chance of a passing isolated shower late Friday, but overall it looks mostly dry as the bulk of the rain holds off until Friday night and into Saturday morning. Clouds will clear some late in the day Saturday. I’d say the odds of racing the NASCAR Xfinity California 300 is 90 percent.

By Sunday for the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Auto Club 400, we will be mostly sunny and the odds of racing will be 100 percent.
