2011 NBA Draft Results: Klay Thompson Drafted By Warriors With No. 11 Pick

With the No. 11 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Golden State Warriors selected Washington State wing Klay Thompson.

Thompson is a skilled shooter and could play an important role backing up Monta Ellis at two-guard ... provided that the Warriors keep Ellis around. The high-scoring guard has been the subject of rampant trade rumors over the past few weeks, and could still be moved heading into the next NBA season. If so, Thompson would be asked to slot in next to superlative point guard Stephen Curry.
