2011 NBA Draft Results: Jimmy Butler Taken By Chicago Bulls With No. 30 Pick

With the No. 30 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls selected Jimmy Butler, a small forward from Marquette.

Butler’s all-around game is a very interesting one. He’s a jack of all trades and master of none who went from being a scorer in junior college to an estimable creator and rebounder late in his Marquette career. Butler’s also got maybe the greatest backstory in the 2011 NBA Draft: kicked out of his house as a teen by his biological mother, Butler was adopted by a Texas family who he now calls his own.
