2011 NBA Draft Results: Lakers Take Andrew Goudelock, Josh Selby To Grizzlies In Second Round

The 2011 NBA Draft’s second round moved along swiftly, thanks to the expert stylings of NBA deputy commissioner Adam Silver.

At No. 46, the Lakers picked up College of Charleston wing Andrew Goudelock, a proven shooter who can help immediately ... if he gets any playing time on a veteran-laden team. L.A.'s depth has a way of making promising second-round picks disappear. Ask Devin Ebanks and Derrick Caracter.

At No. 47, the Los Angeles Clippers picked up Georgia guard Travis Leslie, who made the first round in a few legit NBA mock drafts. Leslie is a strong leaper, like new teammates Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon. L.A.'s guard depth is poor, and Leslie could get some minutes -- Randy Foye's minutes, perhaps -- right out of the gate.

The Atlanta Hawks took Keith Benson at No. 48, a polished center out of Oakland. "Polished" is a double-edged sword: Benson is considered to lack strength and, sometimes, effort. He's no Al Horford or Zaza Pachulia.

With the No. 49 pick, the Memphis Grizzlies picked up Kansas guard Josh Selby, once considered one of the top high school players in the nation. The Memphis backcourt looks pretty full with O.J. Mayo, Mike Conley, Greivis Vasquez, Tony Allen and Xavier Henry, but Selby could be a steal if he develops.

At No. 50, the Philadelphia 76ers took Lavoy Allen, a power forward out of Temple.
