On Friday night in Madison Square Garden, the Knicks and Heat brought a 57-57 tie into halftime. That clearly wasn’t good enough for the Heat, as Lebron James and company have racheted up their defensive pressure and made the most of their shot opportunities to take a 90-74 lead.
After scoring 16 points in the first half, James scored 14 in the third quarter alone. For the night, he’s 13-for-20 from the field, including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc.
The Knicks’ Danilo Gallinardi, who jump-started the Knicks offensively in the first half, has gone relatively cold with only two points in the third quarter. It’s been a bit of a painful game for the Knicks, as Raymond Felton and Wilson Chandler have been banged up.
The fourth quarter is now underway as the Heat aim to win their 11th straight game.
