Heat Vs. Bulls: LeBron James Out With Ankle Injury

One of the NBA’s premier matchups will be missing one of the NBA’s biggest stars thanks to LeBron James’ ankle injury.

The Miami Heat star will miss tonight’s game against the Bulls in Chicago thanks to an ankle injury sustained on Wednesday against the Clippers. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel’s Ira Winderman has a bit more:

LeBron James tested the ankle, then common sense prevailed. He is a no-go for tonight. With James out, the Heat will rely even more heavily on Dwyane Wade, making his first trip to his hometown Windy City after flirting with leaving Miami to join the Bulls last summer. And the loss of James’ presence on the defensive end may mean great things for Chicago’s dynamic point guard, Derrick Rose, and their underrated perimeter player, Luol Deng.

Since James’ injury during Wednesday’s game, the Heat are 0-2. Their 130-102 loss to the Nuggets on Thursday was their largest defeat of the 2010-11 season.
