Chris Bosh Injury To Sideline Him For Another 1-2 Weeks

The Miami Heat will have to deal with an ankle injury to Chris Bosh for at least a little while longer. Bosh said that he will probably miss another 1-2 weeks with a high ankle sprain, and coach Erik Spoelstra did not deny that timetable.

Joseph Goodman of the Miami Herald has the story:

Heat forward Chris Bosh indicated Monday that he could be sidelined for an extended period of time due to his high ankle sprain.

[...]

"It's quite boring to be me right now at work," Bosh said. "I'm still just trying to feel it out. It's a different situation. I've never had a high ankle sprain. I don't really know how to gauge anything."

Bosh has not been able to run on the treadmill at all, and Spoelstra said he cannot do anything at full speed at this point.

Bosh has not played in over a week, since Bulls center Omer Asik fell on his ankle in a loose ball scrum back on January 15. The Heat are 1-1 in the two games Bosh has missed, losing to the Atlanta Hawks and defeating the Toronto Raptors. With Bosh sidelined, we will likely see more of LeBron James at power forward, whether he likes it or not.
