The second quarter couldn’t quite match the first for pyrotechnics in Oklahoma City, but Heat-Thunder is still shaping up as a good game.
Heat Vs. Thunder: LeBron James, Dwyane Wade Have Miami On Top At Halftime
After combining for 73 points in the first, both defenses clamped down in the second quarter, and Miami took the lead. The Heat hold a 64-61 advantage at halftime.
For the Heat, all it took to rally was a little more LeBron James. The two-time NBA MVP got it going in the second period, running his total for the game to 12 points with aggressive driving that sent him to the line repeatedly.
Chris Bosh also warmed up on offense. He’s hit five of his six shots and has 12 points.
In total, five players are in double figures in the game: Kevin Durant and Jeff Green were both held in check in the second quarter, but have 17 and 16 points, respectively. Dwyane Wade leads all scorers with 19.
Another technical foul was issued in the second quarter, this one going to Russell Westbrook for a hard foul on a drive.
