Bryant will not play in the Lakers' second and final preseason game on Wednesday against the L.A. Clippers, and his status is listed as day-to-day. The Lakers are set to tip off the regular season at home on Sunday against the Chicago Bulls. L.A. has games on Monday and Tuesday, as well.

Kobe Bryant has a torn ligament in his right wrist. The L.A. Lakers have listed him as day-to-day.
Bryant has played through injury during much of the past few years, and had a mysterious treatment on his aching knee in Germany during the offseason. It’s unclear whether the Lakers expect Kobe to miss any regular season games; surgery doesn’t appear to be on the table, and the team hasn’t specified exactly how severe the tear is believed to be.
