Kobe Bryant has a torn ligament in his right wrist. The Los Angeles Lakers have listed him as day-to-day while saying that there is a chance he could play on Christmas Day.
Kobe Bryant Says He ‘Should Be Fine’ For Lakers’ Christmas Opener Against Bulls
Kobe said that the central problem with the injury is the associated swelling; Bryant has dealt with finger and knee issues in the recent past and, as he told the media, he always finds a way to play. He has played in at least 70 games in each of the past six seasons, and a full 82 in three of the past six.

Bryant sat out the final preseason game, but he’s apparently planning on being ready for the Lakers game on Christmas day. That obviously doesn’t jive with what Brown said, as he still needs to get cleared by a doctor, but it seems as though the All-Star plans to play.
