Blake Griffin had his eighth 30-point game of the season with a 32-point, 11-rebounds, six-assist night in the L.A. Clippers' 105-98 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. DeAndre Jordan, Griffin's frontcourt running mate (Vote Griffin-Jordan 2011!) added 16 points, seven rebounds and five blocks. Randy Foye, temporarily manning Eric Gordon's position, hit the 20-point mark for the third straight game.
Bucks Vs. Clippers: Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan Hulk Out In L.A. Win
Milwaukee's offense was solid (for a change), as Corey Maggette scored an efficient 25 points (6-13 floor, 13-15 line) and with Brandon Jennings scoring 12 off the bench in his second game back from foot surgery. Jennings hit two of Milwaukee's five threes, reminding us that his shooting prowess has perhaps been missed as much or more than his ballhandling and playmaking ability.
In what was perhaps a dunk contest preview, Griffin uncorked a windmill on an undefended breakaway. Get your oohs and ahhs ready.
That may have been the NBA’s “Dunk of the Night,” but for this game I’ll cast my lot with Jordan, who turned Jon “Mancakes” Brockman into oatmeal.
As an old Floridian sitting at a dog track might say, “Yowza!”
