Spurs Vs. Bulls Final Score: Derrick Rose Leads Chicago To 109-99 Win

Derrick Rose came to play on Thursday night against the league-best San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls reaped the benefits. Rose connected on 18-28 shots from the field against the Spurs en route to 42 points, 5 assists and 8 rebounds. With Rose leading the charge, Chicago was able to pull-away, securing a 109-99 win over San Antonio at the United Center.

The Bulls took the lead from the start and never looked back, jumping out to an early 30-25 lead. From there, Chicago continued to slowly inch away, outscoring the Spurs in every quarter with Rose firing on all cylinders.

Tony Parker did his part, scoring 26 points and dishing-out four assists. Tim Duncan added just 14 points for the Spurs, pulling-down nine rebounds, as well. Richard Jefferson had 12 points, Manu Ginobili had 16 and Gary Neal added 16 points off the bench as five San Antonio players were in double-figures.

Outside of Rose, Chicago got solid games from Luol Deng, with 19 points, and Carlos Boozer, with 15. Every player that logged minutes for the Bulls also made at least one basket on the night to compliment Rose’s big game. Kurt Thomas added a team-high nine rebounds, as well, tying Duncan for the game-high.

With the win, Chicago improved to 38-16 on the year, including a 25-4 record at home. San Anotonio fell to 46-10 on the year, but still hold the NBA’s best record by five games.
