Playing his first game at Madison Square Garden as a member of the New York Knicks, Carmelo Anthony has scored seven points, grabbed two rebounds and two steals, and shot three-of-six at the end of the first quarter. He played nine minutes, and the Knicks lead the Milwaukee Bucks (oh right, the Bucks!), 37-29.
Carmelo Anthony Scores Seven In Knicks-Bucks First Quarter
Speaking of those Bucks, it’s been the John Salmons show so for Milwaukee far. The shooter has nine points so far on only four attempts from the floor, having gotten to the line for six free throw attempts. But back to Melo.
Obviously all is now right with New York’s NBA franchise. They are stomping the Bucks, who made the playoffs last year, in what many are calling the most charged night at the Garden in years. Hating aside, Anthony appears to have incorporated himself into New York’s offense capably.
