Carmelo Anthony has scored 16 points on 17 shots as the New York Knicks lead the Milwaukee Bucks 86-79 at the end of the third quarter. Anthony also has six rebounds and two steals, but the night’s real star has been Toney Douglas, who is not a basketball player but a mashup of every 1990s boxing champion.
Carmelo Anthony’s Knicks Debut Vs. Bucks Turning Into Toney Douglas Showcase
Douglas has 20 points on only 10 shots, and you really can’t get much more efficient than that. John Salmons leads the Bucks with 18 points, and Andrew Bogut has a double-double already.
Chauncey Billups has 15 points and six assists on the night, also his first in a Knicks uniform.
The Knicks may have started to pull away late in the third, scoring on three jumpers in the closing minute.
