Carmelo Anthony’s first half as a member of the New York Knicks is in the books, with his new team holding just a 59-57 lead over the Milwaukee Bucks at halftime. The Knicks held significant leads throughout the second quarter, building up double-digit advantages at multiple points, but a hot finish by Brandon Jennings and others has Milwaukee in the game.
Carmelo Anthony’s First Game With Knicks Features Tough Bucks Performance
John Salmons leads all scorers with 15 at the half, though Melo’s right behind with 14. The difference: Salmons has done it on exactly has as many shots from the floor, needing only seven attempts. He’s also posted more assists, though Anthony has five rebounds. Gonna keep selling this game as a showdown between Salmons and Anthony until somebody hops on board.
Chauncey Billups, the other new member of the Knicks, has eight points and four assists, with five of those points coming on free throws.
