Jonny Flynn could be traded to the Houston Rockets, reports ESPN's Marc Stein. The Minnesota Timberwolves' No. 6 pick in the 2009 NBA Draft has been a disappointment to say the least; Flynn never really broke out as a rookie, and an offseason hip injury has rendered the Syracuse product's sophomore season a massive failure. Flynn has played fewer than 600 minutes this season, and has spent time with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA D-League.
NBA Trade Rumors: Jonny Flynn Draws Interest From Rockets, Says Report
The Wolves picked Ricky Rubio and Flynn with back-to-back selections near the top of the 2009 draft, passing on Stephen Curry, Brandon Jennings and others. Rubio remains in Spain, having refused to sign a deal with Minnesota in 2009. Luke Ridnour and Sebastian Telfair have been taking the bulk of minutes at point guard this season.
It’s unclear what the Rockets would send to the Wolves for Flynn. Houston is also reported to be in talks for 2009 No. 2 pick Hasheem Thabeet.
