The latest hot NBA trade rumor involves the Houston Rockets talking to the Portland Trail Blazers about a deal involving center Marcus Camby, according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports. The Rockets would likely trade Aaron Brooks to the Blazers as part of the package.
Rockets Looking To Trade For Marcus Camby In Latest NBA Trade Rumors
Berger reports that the trade may end up involving three teams, with Jonny Flynn ultimately coming to Houston from the Timberwolves. Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Blazers like Brooks, but want more back for Camby. They will have to get something else back to make the salaries match.
Camby expressed frustration with the possibility that he would be traded from the Blazers earlier in the week, suggesting he wouldn’t have signed a contract extension last season if the team would turn around and trade him one year later. But Berger suggests that Camby would be open to a trade to the Rockets because he lives there in the offseason.
The Rockets would ideally prefer a younger center, but Camby at least fits into coach Rick Adelman’s offense, reports Feigen.
