Samuel Dalembert ought to be a prime candidate for NBA trade rumors, given that he has a massive expiring contract, plays for a team going nowhere this year and has particular talents of need at a hard-to-fill position. But the Sacramento Kings continue to keep him off the market, ESPN's Chad Ford reports.
Samuel Dalembert Being Held Out Of NBA Trade Rumors By Kings
The Kings like Dalembert and claim they will try to re-sign him at season's end, despite the presence of rookie center DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins and Dalembert have played together in spots this season, but coach Paul Westphal has more frequently sought to bring Dalembert off the bench and pair Cousins with a power forward.
Ford reports that the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder have interest in Dalembert either via trade or after a buy-out by the Kings. But neither looks likely at this point. The Kings have, however, long been interested in Rockets' point guard Aaron Brooks.
