Magic Vs. Knicks Score: Jameer Nelson Helps Stake Magic To 28-25 Lead
Toney Douglas leads the Knicks with eight points off the bench while Carmelo Anthony added seven of his own. Amare Stoudamire went scoreless in the first missing all three of his attempts. Turnovers have plagued the Knicks of late and they once again turned the ball over five times in the first quarter.
While the Knicks aren’t known as a defensive force, the Orlando Magic didn’t exactly dig in defensively either. The Knicks shot better than 50% from three-point range in the first quarter and Stan Van Gundy commented during the break that they had to do a better job of defending Toney Douglas in particular.
Look for the Magic to try and establish Dwight Howard who escaped the first quarter without picking up a personal foul.
