The Orlando Magic will be without point guard Jameer Nelson in Monday's game against the New York Knicks, reports Adam Zagoria of NBA.com. Nelson suffered a sprained left knee in the second quarter of Friday's game against the New Jersey Nets and did not return to the game. He has been listed as day-to-day since then. In three games against New York this season, Nelson averaged 18.3 points and 5.0 assists.
Magic Vs. Knicks: Jameer Nelson Out Of The Lineup, Gilbert Arenas Starts
In his place will start Gilbert Arenas, who is coming off a rough game against the Nets. He made only one field goal in 12 tries and missed all five of his three-point attempts. This will be his first start of the season for the Magic, coming off the bench in his previous 44 games for them. However, expect Chris Duhon to also receive a good share of the playing time. He plays about 15 minutes and gives the ball out for 2.3 assists this season.
