Danny Granger scored 10 of his 16 points in the third quarter while helping Indiana extend its lead to 79-71 after three quarters of play. Derrick Rose has been outstanding for Chicago with 30 points but Indiana has successfully limited everyone else on Chicago’s roster, leaving Rose to try and win this one by himself.
Bulls Vs. Pacers Score: Danny Granger Pushes Indy To 79-71 Lead After Three
Through three quarters, Chicago has never led in this game. Every single time the Bulls have gotten close, Indiana has had an answer whether with a wide open three point shot or a Tyler Hansbrough jump shot off a pick and roll.
Derrick Rose leads all scorers with 30 points, but Carlos Boozer is the only other Bulls player in double figures with 10 points. Boozer picked up his fourth foul early in the third and headed back to the bench. He has played just 18 minutes in the game.
Darren Collison has 17 points, six rebounds, and eight assists for the Pacers. Granger has 16 points and Tyler Hansbrough has 15. If there was a concern for the Pacers, it was that Hansbrough had to be helped to the back after an elbow to the head from Chicago’s Kurt Thomas. [Hansbrough has since returned to action -- ed.]
If Chicago wants to win this game then they are going to have to really pick things up defensively. The Pacers have made 51 percent of their shots through the first three quarters.
