    Dwyane Wade Participates In Miami Heat Shootaround, Expected To Play In Game 2 Vs. Sixers

    Wade has struggled with migraines, and earlier this season wore tinted goggles in game play to help dim the bright arena lights. The All-Star guard and 2006 NBA Finals MVP socred 17 points for the Heat in Miami’s Game 1 win over the Sixers on Saturday. Philadelphia led much of that game, and pulled to within one point in the final minutes after Miami had taken control. Wade was pivotal down the stretch, scoring five late points and running the point guard position for Miami.

    It’s unclear whether Wade will wear goggles should he play. According to Brian Windhorst, he wore sunglasses during shootaround, drawing the nickname “Blade” from teammates. But the NBA has regulated how much tint Wade’s in-game goggles can have, ruling that too much constitutes an unfair advantage as opponents cannot see his eyes.

    Dwyane Wade Misses Practice With Migraine, Status For Heat Vs. 76ers Game 2 Unkown

    Wade missed a game during the regular season due to migraines, and wore tinted goggles to help deal with bright arena lights. (The NBA later regulated the amount of tint Wade’s goggles could have, deeming that overly tinted goggles disallowed opponents from seeing Wade’s eyes, and that was considered an unfair advantage.)
