Lamar Odom Wins Sixth Man Award; Jason Terry, Thaddeus Young Round Out Top 3

Lamar Odom was named the NBA's 2010-11 Sixth Man of the Year by an overwhelming margin on Tuesday. Odom took 95 of 117 first-place votes in the balloting, and was left off of just eight ballots. Jason Terry, the 2009 Sixth Man winner, finished second with 13 first-place votes; more than half of the voters had the Maverick in the first or second spot on the their ballot. The Sixers' Thaddeus Young edged the Celtics' Glen Davis by one vote for third place; Young earned two first-place votes, while Davis registered none.

In all, five different players received first-place votes for the award. Last year's winner, Jamal Crawford of the Hawks, took in five first-place votes and finished in fifth place, despite being left off of 94 of the 117 ballots. Lou Williams was the other contender to register a first-place vote. Only 14 voters in all included Williams on their ballot.

Odom is the first Laker to ever win the Sixth Man award.
