Hornets Vs. Lakers: Aaron Gray To Play Despite Injury, According To Report

NOLA.com reports that New Orleans Hornets center Aaron Gray is expected to play tonight in Game 2 against the Los-Angeles Lakers. Gray suffered a right ankle sprain late in the fourth quarter of the Hornets Game 1 victory at Staples Center. After the game, Hornets head coach Monty Williams described the injury as a “mild ankle sprain”.

Gray played a huge part in New Orleans upset victory over the Lakers in Game 1 scoring 12 points while playing great defense against the likes of Andrew Bynum. The Hornets were an eye popping +25 in scoring margin when Gray was on the floor. After the game, Chris Paul told the broadcast team that Gray was probably the player of the game for the Hornets.
