Manu Ginobli returned to action for the Spurs but the Grizzlies aren’t backing down and lead San Antonio 44-41 at the half. Tony Allen leads the way for the Grizzlies with nine points. Sam Young added eight, while Marc Gasol has six points and 10 rebounds in the first half.
Grizzlies Vs. Spurs Score: Memphis Takes 44-41 Lead Into Halftime
San Antonio out shot the Grizzlies in the first half but Memphis made the most of its extra opportunities by attempting 11 more shots than the Spurs.
Tony Parker, Richard Jefferson, and Tim Duncan all have eight points apiece for San Antonio. Parker has five assists while Ginobli has seven points and four rebounds. Ginobli may be struggling with his shot (2-8) but is playing with the same reckless abandon that we have come accustomed to. He has spent countless times during the first half picking himself up off the floor.
San Antonio may look to get Tim Duncan a little more involved offensively in the second half. Duncan hit all three of his shot attempts in the first two quarters.
