The Atlanta Hawks' bench performed well in the second quarter, with Zaza Pachulia the star of the show with 11 points, but the Chicago Bulls still hold a lead at halftime of Game 5, with the score score sitting at 48-42 after 24 minutes at the United Center. Derrick Rose sat down for the first six minutes of the second, but came out and played well for the second six, and he has 15 points and five assists on the night.
Hawks Vs. Bulls Score, Game 5: Chicago Still Up At Halftime
Luol Deng is also looking great, and he has 15 points of his own. Carlos Boozer has been disappointing at times for the Bulls these playoffs, but despite a cut on his head that referee Steve Javie removed him from the game to get treated on two occasions, Boozer has produced eight points and seven rebounds.
Al Horford was extremely poor in the first quarter, but he looked much better when he came into the game in the second. This was in addition to the aforementioned Pachulia, who was the main reason that the Hawks cut into Chicago's lead. However, they could have cut into it more if it weren't for Jamal Crawford's poor shot selection. He put up a number of difficult, contested shots early in the shot clock, and his 1-6 shooting performance off the bench had a seriously negative effect on the Hawks.
